Slow Homecoming

In nature worship, the concept of the sacred place is to isolate the sacred place from the outside world through nature as a barrier, and the sacred place is maintained by local residents living here.

From the Qing Dynasty to the present, the sacred sacrificial space of the indigenous people no longer exists, and the local beliefs and life are intervened by the external forces of the government and the consortium. The shattered memories of local residents have turned into local legends.

I hope to design a pilgrimage path through the local history and memory. By connecting the broken memories to find the living fields and natural relationships of the local residents. At the end, emerge the fading sacred place and slow homecoming. During the pilgrimage, the geological transformation to the “Kenting Mélange”, just like “Slow Homecoming”: “The earth underwent sublimation within it. (Just as limestone from prehistoric times transformed into the shining marble beneath your feet due to high temperature and pressure.)”
