Plastic Perceptions

What is architecture, if not a form of constructing ourselves?

This thesis seeks to explore architecture as a multisensory medium to unravel the subconscious through the use of digital tools such as artificial intelligence and wearable technologies. If architecture is the materialisation of our perception, how would the architecture of you and I look like?

According to Gaston Bachelard in his book Poetics of Space, the house is a human being’s first world, his universe and the concentration point for human consciousness and emotional experience. Drawing inspiration from Bachelard, this project uses the home as a canvas and reimagines the use of perception measured via biometric information as pigments to paint that canvas.
